The Guide to Keystone Lake

The Keystone Lake, owned and operated by the U.S. Corps of Engineers, is located about 30 minutes west of the Tulsa area. It provides visitors with a home away from home while admiring the beautiful nature and animals. With many different locations to fish and trails for hiking and mountain biking, the activities for travelers are endless. Camping, boating, fishing, trails, and swimming are all part of the limitless recreational activities found at Keystone Lake. The five beaches offer visitors a chance to sit back and enjoy the gentle shoreline or fish close to the coast. For those who want to rent a boat and venture out onto the open waters, three boat rental businesses offer everything one would need for the excursion.

What to Expect

Keystone Lake presents some of the best fishing expeditions in Oklahoma. The world and state record 164 pound paddlefish was caught in the lake in 2021. Travelers can also take advantage of the off roading trails for ATVs or find a horseback riding trail. While wandering shoreline or wooded trails, one might expect to spot several species of birds. Catching a glimpse of an eagle is always a special treat. Travelers are encouraged to always keep a lookout for any woodland creatures in their natural habitat. The towns surrounding the lake welcome visitors for the day or for an extended stay. There is truly something for everyone at Keystone Lake.
